December in Parkham

Have spent a week in Parkham with very unseasonal temperatures although with more than our fair share of rain.  Luckily using the Rainalarm App on my phone we managed to make full use of the dry spells and get out for a beach walk with Pebbles every day.
She is really gaining in confidence and enjoying the freedom of being off the lead although she often stays very close to us.  We met lots of other dogs which is excellent for her socialisation.
She particularly loved the 'bouncy' grass on the coastpath from Westward Ho! as can be seen on the video below.

Tuesday was Carols night in the Bell Inn which we very much enjoyed with our close friends  -  the carols were followed by mince pies and mulled wine provided by Rachel the landlady.  It is the friends we have made in the village and its surroundings that makes us enjoy our time in Parkham so much.

We left for the Midlands  on Sunday morning with a break at Instow to give Pebbles a run before the car journey home.  The sun was shining and there were many dog walkers taking the opportunity to get out in the dry.  The sun even shone for a few minutes with a rainbow just visible coming from Appledore on the picture below.

We arrived back to Stourbridge where we also appreciate the value of our long-standing friends and neighbours -  bins had all been dealt with, parcels taken in along with a huge pile of Christmas cards.  We are really so lucky to have have such good friends in Parkham and also back here!
